September Home Sales in Nashville Increase

According to an October 9, 2012 release by the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, 2,266 houses in Nashville and the Middle Tennessee area closed in September. That's a 23.7 percent rise over the 1,832 sales reported for the same period in 2011.

The even better news is that third quarter numbers are also up from 2011 closings, 26.2 percent higher overall.

What this tells us is that once again, the Middle Tennessee market is on the move. Pricing may not have been affected postively, but sales volume has been and any positive activity is good activity.
